On Saturday, September 26, we’ll be opening the doors to our tannery. Our warehouse at Workumertrekweg 5 will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Come see, touch, and experience it for yourself!

While you’re always welcome at our warehouse, this year we want to make it extra special. And what makes it even more special? Our 165th anniversary!

What can you expect?

• Live demonstrations by our skilled tanners.
• Free guided tours every hour on the hour.
• Fun activities for the kids, such as sheep crafts, a bounce house, and the tannery scavenger hunt!
• A cozy craft market featuring local businesses and products.
• Workshops on wool felting and making wool wreaths
• Sample sale: your chance to snag limited-edition Buren Bolsward items.

What can we see in the warehouse?

We’ll be demonstrating the machines (tanning vats, wringer, dyeing machine, combing machine, stretching machine, and beaming machine) in action. In addition, we’ll be offering free guided tours of approximately 1 hour at various times throughout the day.

Do I need to register in advance?

No, admission is free! Just drop by between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Are children welcome?

Absolutely! We’ve organized some fun activities especially for children.
